OUR FOUNDERS

Officer Brenna Hogue
Brenna brings 6 years of experience in law enforcement, coupled with her personal journey as a mother to a daughter with autism. Through her unique experiences, she recognized the critical need for the S.A.V.E.S Project, especially in addressing the issue of wandering. Her primary mission is to enhance safety and awareness through this initiative, aiming to significantly reduce the number of fatalities associated with wandering.

Chief George T. Rouhib Jr.
George brings over 39 years of invaluable experience as a first responder, having served as both a police officer and firefighter. As co-founder and executive board member of Face Addiction Now (FAN), he is dedicated to addressing addiction issues within the community. Additionally, George serves on the advisory board for the Macomb Police Academy, where he is passionate about enhancing education for first responders and the interaction with vulnerable persons. His commitment to service and education mades a vital asset to the community.

Sgt. Keith Hermans
Keith has dedicated his career in law enforcement to fostering community engagement. Starting as a resource officer in the schools, he recognized the opportunity to make a broader impact. This realization led him to become a Crisis Intervention Team Instructor (CIT) as he saw the need to adapt to the evolving dynamics of law enforcement. Through his efforts, Keith aims to bridge the gap between law enforcement and the communities they serve.

Our Story

The S.A.V.E.S Project was established in 2025 by the Rochester Police Department to promote awareness and educate first responders, the community and the family or guardians of vulnerable persons. Our goal with S.A.V.E.S is to foster a safer, more compassionate community. By developing a comprehensive and empathetic program through education, awareness and tailored engagement we strive to build trust, ensure safety and promote inclusion of all vulnerable persons, honoring the dignity and unique needs of every individual.
